SANA’A — Yemen’s Ansarullah-led armed forces captured the Khalid bin al-Walid military garrison in Taiz province in one of the most significant military victories in the history of Yemen’s armed struggle against Saudi aggression and its mercenaries.
The garrison, located in the strategically vital Ta’iz province, represents one of the most important defensive lines and tactical choke points connecting Ta’iz to the port of Mokha. 
The capture of the military installation marks the beginning of Ansarullah’s domination over 

Ta’iz, Mokha, and the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
According to field sources, the operation was executed as a “military surprise” that caught Saudi-backed mercenary forces off guard. The capture of the Khalid bin al-Walid garrison is expected to significantly alter the balance of power in southwestern Yemen, providing Yemeni forces with a strategic corridor to the Red Sea coast.
The victory came as Saudi warplanes intensified their aerial bombardment across multiple Yemeni provinces. Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, reported that the Saudi regime had conducted 54 airstrikes against Yemen in the past 12 hours alone.
According to Saree, F-15-SA fighter jets launched from the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait and Typhoon aircraft from the King Fahd Air Base in Taif carried out attacks targeting the provinces of Al-Jawf, Marib, Taiz, Al-Hudaydah, Saada, and Al-Bayda.
The Saudi regime’s warplanes have also targeted residential areas. Yemen’s Al-Masirah TV reported that Saudi airstrikes on the province of Al-Jawf killed at least 11 people, including a child visiting the prison in Al-Hazm. 
The escalation comes as the Saudi-led coalition continues its campaign of aggression against the Yemeni people, which has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives since its inception in 2015.
The capture of the Khalid bin al-Walid garrison follows a series of military successes against Saudi-backed mercenary forces in recent days. 
Ansarullah political bureau member Muhammad al-Farah confirmed that Yemeni Armed Forces repelled an advance by Saudi-affiliated forces toward the Al-Libanat heights in eastern Al Jawf province.
Ballistic missiles were launched against Saudi mercenary reinforcements in Al-Jawf, resulting in dozens of vehicles and military transports destroyed or set ablaze. The attack left dozens killed and wounded, including several military commanders.
Field sources also confirmed that Brigade 55 of the Saudi-backed forces has fallen completely, marking a major victory over the Saudi mercenaries.
The Yemeni military offensive has prompted Saudi Arabia to activate early warning systems in its southern regions. Saudi Civil Defense announced the activation of early warning systems in several areas of the kingdom, with sirens sounding in the cities of Abha and Khamis Mushait.
Saudi media reported that air defense systems were activated in Khamis Mushait, where Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid Air Base is located. 
Satellite data analyzed by Egypt’s Intel Observer detected multiple heat signatures around Saudi Aramco facilities in Jizan and Abha, as well as around the King Abdullah Airport in Jazan, indicating possible damage from Yemeni strikes.
Yemen’s media reported that drone and missile attacks targeted the Abha International Airport, the King Khalid Air Base, and Aramco facilities in Abha and Jizan.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue their operations until the cessation of Saudi aggression. Saree emphasized that the ongoing aggression would not remain without response and punishment. 
Saudi officials have vowed to take “all necessary operational measures” to deter Yemeni forces, but analysts note that the coalition has struggled to contain Yemen’s expanding military capabilities.
