TEHRAN – Iranian tennis players delivered a thrilling performance at the World Tour in Tunisia to show off their preparation for Nagoya Asian Games.
Meshkat Al-Zahra Safi will face a representative from Tunisia in her first match after advancing to the main draw. Also, Mandegar Farzami, another Iranian tennis representative in the tournament, will face an opponent from England.
In the doubles section, Mandegar Farzami and Meshkat Al-Zahra Safi faced a team of Swiss and Russian tennis players, which was won by 4-6, 6-3 and 10-5 over the opponent, but Kimia Saqib Tehrani and her Indian teammate won against a team from Russia and Serbia with the results 6-1, 1-6 and 10-7.
In the boys’ section, Kasra Rahmani defeated the French representative with a 6-3, 6-1 lead and is awaiting the Syrian and English representatives to compete with the winner of this match. Ali Yazdani will also face a tennis player from Algeria.
In the doubles section of this tournament, Kasra Rahmani and Ali Yazdani also faced tennis players from France and Luxembourg, which ended with a 6-3, 3-6, and 10-7 lead for our country’s representatives.
