The market extended its recent upward trend on Monday, Sept. 7, with the TSE’s main indices posting significant gains by the close of trading.
The benchmark index climbed 184,041 points to 6.907 million, putting it within striking distance of the 7 million mark.
The equal-weighted index also rose sharply, reaching 1.902 million, indicating that Monday’s rally was not confined to large-cap companies and that a broad range of stocks recorded gains.

FMLI, Fars, SHPNA, SHBANDAR, Foolad, Shasta and Bank Mellat were among the stocks exerting the greatest positive influence on the benchmark index.
Iran’s over-the-counter market, Iran Fara Bourse, also finished higher. Its main index gained 1,302 points to close at 53,606.
A total of 447,807 transactions were registered on the Fara Bourse, with Kegohar, Fazar, Arya, Saman, Neyshekar, Vamapna and Arian among the major contributors to the index’s advance.
Overall, Monday’s session was one of the strongest in the market’s recent history, characterized by a rapid rise in the indices and high trading value, leaving the TSE benchmark on the verge of entering the 7 million range.
