TEHRAN -- The Islamic 
Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Saturday its forces dismantled a team of terrorists affiliated with the United States and Israel in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, killing two of its members.
The operation, which also involved personnel from Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence, IRGC intelligence forces and the provincial police command, took place on Saturday, the Quds Base of the IRGC Ground Force said in a statement.
According to the statement, the group had been planning to carry out terrorist acts against predetermined targets in the province amid the recent U.S. war against Iran. The terrorists were linked to the Zionist regime and the terrorist U.S. regime, the IRGC said.
The Quds Base said the security of Sistan and Baluchestan province constitutes a “red line,” warning that its forces will not allow any U.S.- or Israeli-linked operatives to enter the region and will confront them “decisively and forcefully”.
Sistan and Baluchestan province, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan, has seen several attacks on security forces and civilians in recent years.
On August 29, the IRGC said it had eliminated another militant team linked to U.S. and Israeli spy agencies in Saravan County, killing one and arresting six others.
