Water Crisis Looms as Five Israeli Desalination Plants Go Offline

TEL AVIV (Dispatches) -- Five of the Israeli regime’s six desalination plants have temporarily shut down after what the regime’s weather authority has described as weather conditions causing “severe turbidity” in seawater. In a statement, the authority described the shutdown as an extremely “rare occurrence” that affected all the plants, except one in Hadera in the central part of the occupied territories, The Times of Israel reported. The facilities temporarily closed included those lying in Ashkelon and Ashdod.
