TEHRAN – Iran’s armed forces spokesperson said on Monday that more than 1,000 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the war with Iran, adding that both the United States and Israel are underreporting their military casualties and dismissing the U.S. military as a “Hollywood army” created for plunder.
“More than 1,000 Zionist soldiers were killed and thousands more wounded” during Israel’s military aggression against Iran, which was conducted with U.S. cooperation, senior spokesperson for the Iranian armed forces Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi said.
He also said that hundreds of U.S. military personnel were killed and “thousands” wounded in the third 40-day imposed war against Iran’s armed forces.
“The U.S. army is a Hollywood and propaganda army that was created to plunder and loot the resources of Muslim countries,” Shekarchi said. 
“Our greatest honor is that we have exposed the Hollywood face of the U.S. army and the Zionist regime, and the whole world has realized how weak and dispirited these two armies are.”
Shekarchi said both Washington and Tel Aviv are deliberately distorting casualty figures, citing a pattern of delayed disclosure.
“America and the Zionist regime lie about their killed statistics and censor the truth,” he said. “For example, they announce the statistics of soldiers killed in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars years after a U.S. soldier is killed, and then hand over the body to the family.”
The spokesperson also addressed the strategic Strait of Hormuz, declaring that Iran will never allow U.S. presence in the waterway and vowing to expel American forces from West Asia.
“The U.S. president, his supporters and allies are known as the embodiment of evil and malevolence,” Shekarchi said. 
“Our response to the U.S. president and leaders is that they can only dream of the Strait of Hormuz being part of their territory. We will not allow the Americans to be present in this region. We are determined to expel the Americans from West Asia.”
He added that Iran will avenge the martyrdom of its citizens, including those killed in the “Shajareh Tayyebeh” school in Minab and Lar.
“Revenge for the martyred Imam [Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei], the innocent martyrs of the ‘Shajareh Tayyebeh’ school in Minab and Lar, and all our innocent people will be taken,” he said. “This matter will happen sooner or later, but it will be done.”
