Seven Killed in Gaza and West Bank as Israel Presses Attacks

GAZA CITY (Dispatches) – Israeli drone and naval strikes killed at least two Palestinians and wounded more than a dozen others in the Gaza Strip on Monday, medical sources said, in the latest violations of a ceasefire that has been in place since October 2025.
A missile fired by an Israeli drone struck the entrance of a residential building near Gaza Municipality Park in central Gaza City, killing two people and wounding several others, local sources and eyewitnesses told Reuters. The wounded were transported to Al-Shifa Hospital.
In a separate incident, Israeli warboats opened fire on Palestinian fishing vessels off the coast of Gaza City, wounding five fishermen, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
Crews transported the injured to Al-Shifa Hospital and Al-Saraya Field Hospital. Zakaria Bakr, coordinator of the fishermen’s committees in Gaza, told Xinhua that two fishermen were wounded, one critically, when gunboats fired on their small fishing skiff.
In northern Gaza, a 16-year-old male was wounded by a bomb dropped by an Israeli drone in Beit Lahia, a medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital said.
In southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, Israeli military vehicles and drones opened heavy fire toward homes in the Hamad residential area, wounding three Palestinians, according to medical sources.
The Palestinian Civil Defense said its crews extinguished a fire that broke out in two tents housing displaced people in the Hamad area after Israeli forces opened fire on the area. In Western Satr, a Palestinian was injured by shrapnel from a drone-dropped bomb.
In central Gaza, a Palestinian woman was critically wounded when Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Deir al-Balah amid artillery shelling in the surrounding area, medical and local sources said.
Local sources also reported that Israeli forces were demolishing buildings and facilities in areas under their control east of Deir al-Balah.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces carried out raids and arrests in several areas. The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office said four Palestinians were kidnapped, including two captured by special units that infiltrated their areas.
In Nablus, Israeli special forces opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle near the municipal stadium, according to Palestine’s official WAFA news agency, which reported possible casualties. A special force also infiltrated Balata refugee camp east of Nablus and arrested a young man after raiding a café.
In the Qalandiya refugee camp north of occupied Al-Quds, Israeli forces kidnapped two young men.
