Navy, Army Chiefs: Enemy Severely Miscalculated Iran’s Resolve
TEHRAN — The commander of Iran’s Navy on Sunday issued a stark warning to the enemies of the Islamic Republic, stating that if they believe the martyrdom of naval personnel will halt the force’s operations, they are gravely mistaken.
“If the enemy thinks that with the martyrdom of some of the Navy’s children, this force will stop moving and carrying out its missions, it is severely mistaken,” said Admiral Shahram Irani, addressing personnel at the Bagheral Uloom Naval Training Center in Rasht.
“The Navy will continue its path more steadfastly and more powerfully with the blood of the martyrs,” he emphasized.
Admiral Irani stressed that today’s duty is to continue the path that martyrs paved with their sacrifice and dedication, with strength and perseverance, and not to allow the flag they raised with their blood to fall to the ground.
“The proud flag of the martyrs must be preserved with power, dignity, and honor, and transferred to future generations,” he said, adding that “the path of honor and independence of the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue with sacrifice, resistance, and steadfastness of the children of this nation.”
The Navy commander asserted that the enemy has miscalculated the spirit of the Iranian nation and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
