TEHRAN -- Two Iranian 
orchestras will stage concerts in Tehran this weekend to mark the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him), while singer Mostafa has released the pop-rock single “Monji.”
The National Orchestra of Iran, conducted by Homayoun Rahimian, will perform the suite symphony “Jan-e Jahan-ha” (The Soul of the World) Saturday, Aug. 29, as part of the “Revayat-e Rahmat” (The Narrative of Mercy) ceremony at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall. The program is being held to commemorate the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
The ceremony, attended by Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi along with figures from Iran’s cultural, artistic and media communities, will also honor a number of prominent figures whose work has contributed to introducing, revisiting and promoting the Prophet’s life and teachings.
“Jan-e Jahan-ha,” composed by Milad Aghaei with lyrics by Ali Muhammad Moadeb, will feature Mahmoud Salehi singing in Persian, Hamed Faghihi in English and Javid Asgari in Arabic. The suite is being presented as a musical work centered on the Prophet and themes including light, guidance, love and mercy.
A second concert, titled “Marz-e Porgohar,” (Bejeweled Land) will be presented by the Ruhollah Khaleqi Iranian Instruments Orchestra on Sunday, Aug. 30, at Tehran’s Ab-o Atash Park. Organized by Tehran’s Music House, the performance marks the orchestra’s first appearance in an open-air setting and will feature 100 musicians and singers.
The concert will draw on works by major figures in Iranian music, including Abolhasan Saba, Ruhollah Khaleqi, Ali Tajvidi, Hussein Ali Mallah and Faramarz Payvar. The program includes “Ey Iran,” “Naghmeh-ye Nowruzi,” “Didi Ke Rosva Shod Delam” and “Az Khun-e Javanane Vatan.”
The orchestra is made up of young musicians from across Iran, aged between 20 and 25. The performance begins at 8 p.m., and admission is free to the public.
Alongside the concerts, “Monji,” a new single by Mostafa, has been released in the pop-rock genre. The song is described as a work about the emergence of hope from darkness, combining music, performance and visual storytelling.
“Monji” was composed and 

arranged by Mehdi Beykverdi, with lyrics by Vahid Mirahmad. Beykverdi also plays electric guitar and bass on the track, while Reza Tajbakhsh performs on piano.
The production team has sought to create a lasting work while avoiding what it describes as formulaic and purely consumption-driven music. The track combines pop and rock elements with its instrumentation and Mostafa’s performance, with its musical structure designed to serve its emotional and conceptual atmosphere.
The accompanying music video was directed and edited by Beykverdi, with Rahim Jafaei serving as director of photography and Elham Rezaei appearing as an actor. According to the production team, “Monji” has also ranked among the most-viewed releases on several major domestic platforms.
