President Pezeshkian Inaugurates 158 Transport Projects in Northern Iran

TEHRAN — President Masoud Pezeshkian inaugurates 158 projects of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development in Mazandaran province worth about 23 trillion tomans, during an online ceremony marking Government Week.
The projects were inaugurated simultaneously through a video conference with Pezeshkian, while the main ceremony was held at Noshahr Port.
According to Muhammad Shakibaei-Nasab, the managing director of the Ports and Maritime Organization, the projects were designed to expand transportation infrastructure, improve public welfare, and strengthen Mazandaran’s economic capacity, while two domestically built multipurpose maritime search-and-rescue vessels were launched in the maritime sector at a cost of more than 4.3 trillion rials.
Shakibaei-Nasab said the vessels will strengthen maritime search-and-rescue capabilities and improve the safety of maritime operations.
Meanwhile, four advanced marine loading arms were inaugurated at Amirabad and Noshahr ports.
Shakibaei Nasab said the equipment was designed and manufactured for loading and unloading petroleum products, with more than 2.4 trillion rials spent on the project.
Separately, the approximately 3.5 kilometer road connecting Kolahduz Kala to Kohneh Kala in the Amirabad Port area was opened at a cost of more than 2 trillion rials.
Shakibaei Nasab said the road will improve access to Amirabad Port and strengthen transportation infrastructure in the surrounding area.
In the housing sector, 4,810 residential units were also inaugurated, including 1,915 urban and 2,895 rural units, with an investment of about 18 trillion tomans. A total of 150 plots of land were also allocated to applicants under a government program supporting families and population growth.
