GAZA CITY (Dispatches) -- Israeli strikes killed three people in Gaza on Friday, Palestinian authorities said, as the Israeli military announced rare airstrikes in the occupied West Bank’s Jenin area.
The Gaza civil defense agency said the bodies of three people were recovered in pieces after Israeli strikes in the town of Al-Qarara, east of Khan Yunis. Nasser Hospital identified the deceased as three members of the same family, two aged 42 and one aged 28. 
Israeli strikes also killed three people on Thursday, according to the civil defense agency, with the military saying it had targeted two Hamas members it accused of plotting attacks. 
In the West Bank, the Israeli military conducted rare airstrikes on Friday in the Jenin region. The attack comes amid a broader escalation in the territory, where settler attacks have continued with “virtually no accountability for these crimes,” according to UN official.
Addressing the UN Security Council, Acting Special Coordinator Ramiz Alakbarov warned that the Gaza ceasefire remains fragile while the situation in the West Bank “continues to rapidly deteriorate”. 
He reported that Israeli airstrikes in Gaza resumed on August 12 after a brief lull, with over 100 Palestinians killed and more than 400 injured during the reporting period, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
Nickolay Mladenov, the high representative for Gaza under the so-called Board of Peace established to implement President Donald Trump’s colonial plan, told the Security Council that ongoing Israeli strikes made it difficult for Gazans to feel the ceasefire. 
“Every use of force that does not answer an immediate threat costs this process something very hard to buy back,” he said.
The Arab Group at the UN warned on Thursday of escalating Israeli atrocities in the West Bank and efforts that could undermine the Gaza roadmap. 
Qatar’s UN representative condemned Israel’s colonial expansion, including the E1 plan east of Al-Quds, which UN officials say would sever the northern and southern parts of the West Bank and erode prospects for a viable Palestinian state.
The group also condemned settler violence and the Israeli authorities’ forcible seizure of the UNRWA Kalandia Training Centre in East Al-Quds.
