Iran Sets Clear  Conditions for Hormuz, Delivered via Pakistan

TEHRAN — Iran has outlined its conditions for resolving the Strait of Hormuz situation through Pakistani intermediaries, a source close to the Iranian negotiating team told Tasnim News Agency.
Contrary to some media reports, Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir, who visited Tehran on Monday, did not carry any threatening message
from the United States. Instead, he sought to facilitate dialogue and convey Tehran’s positions to Washington, the source said.
Iran’s conditions include the U.S. return to the Islamabad memorandum of understanding and full implementation of its provisions, particularly Article 5, which provides for Iranian arrangements over the Strait of Hormuz. The Pakistani side is now working to transmit these conditions to the American side.
