Iran’s Borders Are Red Line; Stay Away!
TEHRAN - The commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces has strongly warned Takfiri terrorist groups and other hostile elements located across borders against attempts to create insecurity or conduct terrorist activities near the country’s territory.
“Any movement, hostile act, or action against the borders of the Islamic Republic will be met with a firm and crushing response,” Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi said on Tuesday. The commander was visiting northeastern border areas, where he assessed the combat readiness, defensive capabilities, and deployment of Ground Forces units along the borders.
The Ground Forces boasts the ability to respond effectively against positions and bases belonging to those threatening Iran’s security, he stated.
“In the event of any aggression or violation, all positions and bases of those threatening the country’s security will be within range of the Army Ground Forces’ drone and artillery capabilities, and the Armed Forces’ response to any threat will be swift, precise, and deterrent,” Jahanshahi said.
The commander also highlighted the acquisition of modern weapons and equipment, saying the force had developed operational plans for different types of threats.
“Today, the Army Ground Forces is at the highest level of combat readiness and, through the use of new equipment and weapons, has specific operational plans in place to confront the enemy in accordance with every type of threat,” he said.
Jahanshahi described Iran’s borders as a red line for the Armed Forces and warned that any violation would draw a stronger response.
The commander said the Ground Forces maintained continuous surveillance of enemy movements, stating that the force, “benefiting from comprehensive intelligence command, continuously monitors and surveils all enemy movements across the borders, around the clock.”
Jahanshahi said this intelligence
capability had allowed the Ground Forces to identify and neutralize enemy ground combat operational plans before they could take effect, thereby preventing them from achieving their objectives near the country’s borders.
He also pointed to the readiness of the Ground Forces units deployed along the northeastern borders, saying, “The deployment of mobile assault and rapid-reaction units along the borders, together with the comprehensive readiness of the Armed Forces, has created effective deterrence against enemy threats.”
“Today, the entire capacity and capabilities of the Ground Forces units deployed along the borders are dedicated to ensuring security, safeguarding the borders, and confronting any threat. We will not allow any enemy to undermine the security of our people, including the beloved border residents.”
The commander also referred to the Ground Forces’ performance during the latest bout of unprovoked American-Israeli aggression against the nation from February 28 until April 7.
He hailed the force for its successful and accurate deployment of the Army’s drone capabilities, including by carrying out effective precision strikes against regional American outposts using attack drones.
