TEHRAN - Iran’s boys’ under-17 volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U-17 World Championship after defeating Chinese Taipei in straight sets on Tuesday.
Arash Sadeghiani’s side won the Round of 16 match 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-21.
Iran captain and opposite hitter Sina Hazrati finished as the match’s leading scorer with 18 points.
Iran will face the winner of the Pakistan-Egypt match in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
