Iran to Send Nine Rowing Athletes to Nagoya Asian Games
TEHRAN - The national
rowing athletes for the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games have been determined.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the rooster of the Iranian national rowing team for the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games has been determined, and nine rowers in the canoe and kayak divisions will compete in the competitions.
The Nagoya Asian Games Canoe Sprint Competition will be held from October 23 to 26 at the Miyoshi Canoe Center in Japan, and the Iranian team will compete in these competitions with a combination of male and female athletes. The Iranian team in these competitions will be led by Sergey Bozogoli, Iman Pouraziz, Arash Basartdar, and Nadia Talanek.
Accordingly, Ali Aghamirzaei and Peyman Qavidel in men’s kayak, Elnaz Shafiian, Tania Kargarpour and Kiana Kamalzadeh in women’s kayak, Mohammad Nabi Rezaei in men’s canoe, and Hiva Afzali, Hedehi Khairabadi and Maedeh Shourgashti in women’s canoe, make up the nine-member Iranian canoeists sent to the Nagoya Asian Games.
