LONDON – The Iranian Embassy in London has criticized the series of anti-Iranian actions by Western imperialism, asserting that these actions are a repetition of historical mistakes.
On the anniversary of the U.S.-led coup in Iran on August 19, 1953—known as the 28th of Mordad in Iran—the Embassy of Iran in London posted an image on its X account. The image displayed the titles “Boot,” “Hammer,” and “Epic Fury,” which refer to various Western operations against Iran throughout history.
The embassy said, “Boot, hammer, and epic fury; repeated historical mistakes. It is you who will be buried beneath the boots of Iranian soldiers.”
It also used the hashtags “28 Mordad coup” and “August 19, 1953 coup” in the post.
The August 19, 1953 coup, which was orchestrated and carried out with the involvement of U.S. and British intelligence services, led to the overthrow of the government of Mohammad Mosaddegh.
