Pentagon Says 153 Yemenis Killed in Strikes, Lower Than Local Figures
WASHINGTON (Dispatches) -- A Pentagon assessment submitted to the Congress has confirmed that the U.S. military aggression against Yemen in 2025 killed at least 153 civilians and wounded hundreds more.
The 12-page, unclassified Department of War assessment, submitted to the Senate Armed Services Committee on August 10, examined at least three U.S. bombardments carried out in April 2025. The civilian death toll acknowledged by the Pentagon is lower than figures previously reported by authorities in Sanaa.
