Iran Rules Out Return to Talks With U.S.
TEHRAN -- Iran on Monday rejected any return to negotiations with the United States unless Washington takes responsibility for violating its commitments, saying diplomacy and defense are not contradictory and that Tehran will continue using all available tools to protect its national interests.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that the dispute was not caused by differences over the interpretation of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), but by the United States’ failure to uphold its obligations.
“Insisting on a false choice between diplomacy and war is not beneficial for our country,” Baghaei said, adding
