Tehran - The Iranian men’s team secured five gold and two bronze medals at the Gangwon Chuncheon World Taekwondo Demonstration & Breaking Championships.
 The competitions were held with the participation of 298 taekwondo athletes in the men’s section hosted by the city of Chancheon, South Korea. 
Iran’s rooster included of 10 ahtletes, led by Yasin Valizadeh, Abolfazl Zandi, Mehdi Haj Moussaei, Muhammad Hussein Yazdani and Arian Salimi, won five gold medals, Amirsina Bakhtiari and Ali Najafi won two bronze medals. Matin Rezaei, Amirreza Sadeghian and Mehran Barkhodari also failed to reach the medal.
The South Korean competitions are part of the World Federation competitions and offer 20 points in the Olympic ranking for gold-medal taekwondo athletes.
This round of competitions will be followed up on Tuesday, with the women’s section competitions.
