TEHRAN – Rail operations at the critical Bandar Abbas junction have officially resumed after being halted by a U.S. airstrike on Friday, according to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
 The targeted junction, located 10 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, connects passenger and cargo lines directly to the strategic Shahid Rajaee Port and the main Bandar Abbas railway system.
Meanwhile, emergency engineering and road crews have successfully reopened one of the two strategic Shahid Mirzayi bottleneck tunnels on the Bandar Abbas–Sirjan highway.
Majid Salahshour, the Director General of Roads and Urban Development for Hormozgan, confirmed that vehicle transit has resumed through the tunnel to relieve heavy traffic congestion along the route.
Salahshour also provided updates on several bridges targeted by the U.S. military aggression, noting that alternative routes have been successfully established. Traffic is currently flowing through an active bypass at the Shor River Bridge in the Dasht-e Imam region.
Additionally, a bypass was quickly activated at the Rudan junction bridge following a pre-dawn U.S. airstrike on Saturday, ensuring that regional transit continues without interruption.
