Phase One of Solar Power Plant Launched at Siraf Port Terminal
TEHRAN — The first phase of a solar power plant at the Siraf Port export terminal has been commissioned, the engineering and development director of Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company said.
According to a statement from the company, Jafar Taheri said the initial phase of the centralized renewable power facility, developed in cooperation with the company’s energy unit and electrical engineering department, has a capacity of 50 kilowatts.
Taheri said the solar installation, built at the export terminal in Siraf Port, is expected to supply about 10% of the terminal’s electricity demand.
He described the project as an effective step toward reducing energy costs and lowering environmental pollution.
Taheri added that commissioning the solar plant is part of the company’s broader strategy to expand clean energy development and optimize the use of renewable resources.
