TEHRAN – Iran finished in third place at the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025.
Team Melli Banovan lost to defending champion India 33-21 in the semifinals in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Saturday.
In the other semifinal match, Chinese Taipei defeated Bangladesh 25-18 and secured its final spot.
The Persians defeated Poland 55-11, Kenya 42-10, Zanzibar 51-15, Nepal 39-11 and lost to Chinese Taipei 31-21 and India 33-21 in the competition.
The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup is being held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from November 17 to 24.
