Gen. Ali Jahanshahi Named Ground Forces Commander
TEHRAN – Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi has been appointed as the new commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army’s Ground Forces.
Jahanshahi previously commanded the 77th Thamen al-A’emmeh Division, served as Deputy Coordinator of the Ground Forces, and was Deputy Chief of Evaluation at the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters. His appointment follows the tenure of Brigadier General Kiomars Heydari, who previously led the Ground Forces.
