Paragon Par-Excellence for All Virtuous Ladies and Girls
Salaam dear young friends. Heartfelt condolences to you all on the anniversary of a very doleful day. Yesterday was 13th of Jamadi al-Awwal, the day on which, according to a narration, the Noblest-Ever Lady left the world a martyr, seventy-five days after the passing away of her Illustrious Father.
She was none other than Hazrat Fatema Zahra (SA), the Immaculate Daughter of the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
Most of us are clad in black to commemorate this tragedy, while mourning ceremonies are underway at mosques, hussainiyahs, and homes, as well as at offices, and on radio and TV channels.
The discourses on the life and times of this Great Lady who was martyred in the prime of her youth while defending the “wilayah” or divinely-decreed right of leadership of her Infallible Husband, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS), enlighten us, especially children and youngsters, on the dynamic personality of this paragon par-excellence of virtue.
She left behind four young children – two sons and two daughters – and had instilled in them the essence of faith and humanitarian values to such an extent that on growing up, Imam Hasan (AS), Imam Husain (AS), Hazrat Zainab (SA) and Hazrat Omm Kolthoum, in their own unique way, left as lasting legacy for mankind the bezels of wisdom, courage, magnanimity, honesty, modesty, piety, patience, steadfastness, and devotion to the commandments of the One and Only Creator.
In Islamic societies, whether in Iran or any other country, the fact that women and young girls – at schools, colleges, offices, recreation centres, and in all public places – observe the freedom of Hijab, is ample proof of their sense of liberty in its real sense, which is too great a treasure to be squandered on the altar of slavery to the depraved culture of the West.
Yes, dear sisters and nieces, maintain and safeguard these qualities that are passwords to the opening of the gates of paradise.
Well dear friends, yesterday happened to be the 13th of Aban on which crucial events occurred in the history of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
It was the day that shattered the idol of arrogance, that is the US, and with the capture of the Den of Spies by revolutionary students, it made Washington bite the dust. Iranians and dedicated Muslims all over the world will forever commemorate this day with jubilation for the fall of the Great Satan.
It was a master stroke of revolutionary strategy that ensured the stability of the newfound Islamic Republic and has continued to be the source of strength for the Iranian people. The Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), had hailed the heroic takeover of the US embassy in Tehran in 1979 by Muslim students as the “Second Revolution”.
Meanwhile, in 1978 on this fateful day of Aban 13, when it was clear to all that it was only a matter of time for the Pahlavi regime to be swept into oblivion, the US stooge at the behest of his overlords in Washington ordered the massacre of students at Tehran University who were staging a peaceful rally calling for the return home from exile of their beloved leader, Imam Khomeini. The bloody event backfire so badly on US designs that two months later the hated Shah was forced to flee Iran, and on February 1, the Imam returned to lead the Islamic Revolution to its resounding triumph.
God bless you all and good-bye till next week.
