Iran, Indonesia Pledge to Expand Bilateral Cooperation
TEHRAN – Iran and Indonesia are set to expand bilateral cooperation across all areas of mutual interest, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said Wednesday. Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei highlighted his “cordial and fruitful conversation” with Indonesian Ambassador Roliansyah Sumirat ahead of the 75th anniversary of Tehran-Jakarta diplomatic ties. Established in 1955 at a low level and upgraded to ambassadorial status in 1963, relations between the two countries have remained warm and friendly, particularly following Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
