Lawyers File ICC Case Over Israeli Murder of Prominent Journalist
LONDON (Dispatches) -- Human rights lawyers have filed complaints with the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICC) over the assassination of prominent Palestinian journalist and social media figure Saleh al-Ja’frawi in the Gaza Strip.
London-based international criminal lawyer Sara Segneri confirmed on Tuesday that requests for investigations had been submitted to various UN bodies and special rapporteurs, as well as the ICC. Palestinian officials have accused a Tel Aviv-backed group linked to the Daghmash family of carrying out the targeted killing.
