TEHRAN -- Iran on Friday condemned the United States for destabilizing activities in the Caribbean and Latin America, particularly recent military attacks on Venezuelan vessels. 
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei called the U.S. actions “provocative and destabilizing,” warning they threaten regional and global peace. He denounced attacks on fishing boats and threats against Venezuela’s sovereignty as violations of the UN Charter and international law.
