We are commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Holy Defence that exposed to the whole world the depth of US-sponsored terrorism through Saddam of the repressive Ba’th minority regime of Baghdad and in the midst of the 8-year war through the MKO hypocrites who assassinated thousands of Iranians including the President, Prime Minister, Judiciary Chief, cabinet ministers, and MPs.

We have been the victims of US terrorism for the past four-and-a-half decades, starting with Operation Eagle Claw that crashed into the sands of Tabas and including the ever-increasing sanctions to try to deprive our people of economic welfare, in addition to the attacks on our southeastern border areas, the takfiri terrorists to our west, and Israel’s target killing of our officials in Syria.

US terrorism, despite its string of defeats – thanks to the indomitable spirit of resistance of our pious and patriotic masses – came out into open confrontation with us with the cowardly assassination of our Hammer of Terrorism (General Qasem Soleimani) in Iraq in January 2020 along with his committed trenchmate (Iraq’s Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis) by no less a dastardly terrorist than Donald Trump.

This filthy criminal whose terrorism knows no bounds as is evident by the worsening genocide in Gaza through his vetoes at the UN Security Council to kill resolutions against the bloodthirsty Zionist entity and through supply of weapons to his comrade-in-crimes Benjamin Netanyahu, who last June was ordered to attack Iran and assassinate several officials, as well as his own direct attack on three of Iran’s civilian nuclear plants last June, has called Iran “the world’s number one sponsor of terrorism”.

In his address to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, the terrorist who threatens world countries of what he calls ‘dire consequences’ if their leaders do not bow to his illogical demands, and orders the killing of Venezuelan sailors, tried to ridicule the World Body and even his European pals by uttering lie upon lie against all and everybody, including the Islamic Republic of Iran – the only nation that religiously forbids the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction.

Is it wise for any sane person or a country to hold talks with such a despicable criminal and hope of reaching some sort of compromise with a megalomaniac fit only for the gallows?
