Ali Tajik Named Head Coach of Tunisia Taekwondo Team

TEHRAN – Ali Tajik has been appointed the head coach of Tunisia’s taekwondo team.
According to the Iran’s Taekwondo Federation, previously, he was the head coach of the national team.
Tajik was also the head coach of the Oman national team for 7 years before joining the Iranian national team and also heading the National Teams Organization. He also coached the youth and student teams and was the head coach of the Iranian national student team.
Tunisia had won two gold and bronze medals at the Paris Olympics through Firas Katoussi and Mohammad Khalil Al-Jandoubi. His contract is two years, which can be extended until the 2028 Paris Olympics.
Tajik achieved considerable success, such as the gold medal at the World Armies in 2018, the silver medal at the individual World Cup hosted by Vietnam in 2001, the silver medal at the Madrid World Championships in 2006, the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Jordan in 2003, the silver medal at the Universiade and the bronze at the World Students Championships.
