TEHRAN – Iran has reported aluminum output has reached to 251,477 tonnes amid upgrade programs by smelters and better supply of feedstock in five months.
Iran’s metals and mining company IMIDRO said in a statement that aluminum ingot production by four major smelters in the country had topped a total of 250,000 metric tons (mt) in the five months August 20.
New statistics on aluminum ingot production show that the domestic market has stabilized and the production trend in large aluminum companies such as South Aluminum and Iralco is appropriate, said IMIDRO.
