In an era when the governments of Muslim countries in order to preserve their ill-acquired power over Islamic societies, have conveniently forgotten the message of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and have chosen to worship at the satanic altars of US imperialism and Zionism, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to hold aloft the torch of unity and solidarity of the Ummah.

Iran is holding the 39th International Islamic Unity Week Conference on the blessed birth anniversary of the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger to mankind, by inviting ulema, scholars, and intellectuals from all over the world, irrespective of the school of jurisprudence they follow (whether Sunni or Shi’a), in order to bridge the 5-day gap (Rabi al-Awwal 12 & 17) regarded as the birthday of the Prophet of peace.

The Islamic Republic, which for the past 46 years has countered and defeated every imaginable plot of the US, including the latest 12-day war imposed last June by Washington through the illegitimate Zionist entity, firmly believes that only Islamic unity will vanquish the Americans and their  racist/terrorist protégé, Israel.

Speakers at the International Islamic Unity Conference in Iran, highlighted the need for mobilizing of all resources of the Muslims World for the benefit of the Ummah, even if the regimes put hurdles in the way and act treasonously by having diplomatic and trade relations with Israel, despite the genocide underway in Gaza and the daily killings of the long persecuted Palestinians, of whom 65,000 thousand have been mercilessly killed by the Zionists with American weapons.

The participants hailed Iran’s decisive retaliation of a barrage of drones and missiles to cripple the strategic industrial and military centres of the Israeli aggressors, as well as the devastating attack on the US base in Qatar in response to Donald Trump’s cowardly bombing of three of the Islamic Republic’s civilian nuclear projects.

They urged the Muslim government to return to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the practical path of the Prophet for the betterment of the people they rule and of the whole Ummah, without the least fear of the US and the despicable Zionists.

It was also pointed out that God Almighty had ordered the Prophet to avoid any compromise with infidels and hypocrites, and to deal seriously by firmly striving in His way, through Jihad – whether it is economic, political, and cultural struggle, or whether it is coordinated armed campaign against the killers and murderers.

Hopefully, these voices of reason will be heeded by Muslim governments if they summon the courage to take a leaf from Iran’s earnest efforts for Islamic unity and opposition to the crimes and terrorism of the US and Israel.
