TEHRAN – Asian powerhouse Iran defeated India 3-0 in a Group B CAFA Nations Cup match in Hisor, Tajikistan on Monday, 
Iran found goals from Amirhussein Husseinzadeh, Taremi and Alipour to complete a professional victory over India.
 Iran forward Amirhussein Husseinzadeh opened the scoring in the 60th minute. India failed to execute their chances, and Iran ultimately scored two late goals via Ali Alipour and Mehdi Taremi. The defeat likely ends India’s chances of reaching the CAFA Nations Cup final, but they can still make the third-place match with a positive result over Afghanistan.
Iran are scheduled to play host Tajikistan on Thursday.
