TEHRAN — For the second consecutive year, Iran has claimed the top spot at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA). 
The Iranian Ministry of Education announced on Thursday that the national team achieved first place at the 18th IOAA, which featured participants from 64 countries. Demonstrating exceptional skill and knowledge, the Iranian team won five gold medals, securing a clean sweep and reaffirming Iran’s leading position in the field.
