Zahedan Chamber of Commerce Invites Pakistani Businessmen to Invest in Iran

ISLAMABAD – Officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zahedan have called on Pakistani traders and companies to seize investment opportunities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly in its free trade zones.
The meeting to review opportunities and challenges in Iran-Pakistan trade was hosted by the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Balochistan Province and attended by a delegation from the Zahedan Chamber.
Abdolhakim Rigi, head of the Zahedan Chamber of Commerce, accompanied by Alireza Rajaei, acting Iranian consul general in Quetta, urged industrialists and the business community of Balochistan to engage with Iranian investors in the Mirjaveh free trade zone and pursue joint ventures.
The Iranian delegation said the government of Iran would provide all facilities and incentives to launch joint investment projects with entrepreneurs from both countries.
They stressed that achieving the goal of $10 billion in bilateral trade depends on close cooperation between the two neighbors, particularly their private sectors.
Quetta Chamber President Mohammad Ayoub Mariani and Vice President Mir Waez Khan Kakar underlined the need to resolve transportation issues and reduce import tariffs on each other’s goods to boost two-way trade.
The meeting highlighted mutual interest in expanding economic cooperation, with both sides agreeing that stronger business-to-business ties are key to unlocking the full potential of Iran-Pakistan trade relations.
