TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) issued a firm warning on Wednesday against any threats to Iran’s security and territorial integrity, pledging a response “with reaction severe and beyond the imagination of the enemies and much harsher than what occurred in Operation True Promise against the war-mongering aggressors.”
In a statement released on the occasion of the Arbaeen (40th day) commemoration of Iran’s martyrs of the Israeli aggression, the IRGC praised the sacrifices made by commanders, soldiers, and civilians during the Islamic Revolution and the recent 12-day Sacred Defense, saying these “heroic and glorious epics of bravery, sacrifice, resistance, and power” have shaped the history of Iran.
The statement paid tribute to senior commanders, including Major General Muhammad Bagheri, Major General Gholamali Rashid, Major General Hussein Salami, Major General Ali Shadmani, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh,” as well as “scientists and various people, including women and children” who lost their lives.
Describing the legacy of the martyrs, the IRGC said, “The martyrs of Iran’s Islamic power inscribed courage and sacrifice in the history of this land with their pure blood,” adding, “we, the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution, as true followers of them, always emphasize loyalty to the sacred ideals of the dear martyrs.”
The statement highlighted the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, calling his guidance “the compass of resistance and steadfastness against the enemy”. 
It lauded the 12-day Sacred Defense against the U.S. and Israel as a historic victory that “not only defended the homeland but also, in the shadow of the Eminent Leader’s wise measures, imposed power and strength on the enemy and manifested glorious scenes internationally.”
“For the first time in history, the Iranian nation faced the war and direct aggression of the major current imperialist powers of the world — the criminal America and the racist, child-killing Zionist regime — courageously entered the battlefield of defense and emerged victorious and triumphant,” it said.
Referring to military successes during the war, the statement cited “the outstanding achievements of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 12-day anti-American and anti-Zionist Sacred Defense,” including “the successful implementation of the precise and intelligent operations 
‘True Promise 3’ and ‘Glad Tidings of Victory,’ in which we, despite all threats and global pressures, imposed a ceasefire on the Zionist regime and America.”
Operation True Promise 3 refers to Iran’s crushing and decisive military response during the 12-day war against the Israeli aggression. Operation Glad Tidings of Victory specifically refers to Iran’s missile strike on the U.S. military base in Qatar in response to its unprovoked bombing of Iranian nuclear sites. 
The IRGC assured Iranians that “with the permission of God, we assure the noble and struggling Iranian nation that the process of deterrent power-building will continue more flourishing and accelerated than before.”
The statement also emphasized international support for Iran, stating, “The world today witnesses that the Iranian nation, pursuing its independence goals, stands against the criminal Zionist-American gang and enjoys meaningful global support in condemning the brutal and merciless aggressions of America and the Zionist regime.”
Regarding enemy failures, it declared, “The nation of Iran on the path of independence and freedom will never surrender to pressures and threats of enemies”.
It called the defeat of adversaries “a very instructive chapter of history, especially for the enemy camp, containing historical and strategic lessons that more than anything prove the righteousness and power of the Islamic system.”
Concluding, the IRGC issued a stark warning: “The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, together with the other Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is always ready at any time and place to give a decisive and regrettable response to any threat and aggression from America, the Zionist regime, and their supporters.”
“Any threat against the security and territorial integrity of the country will face a severe reaction beyond the imagination of the enemies and much harsher than what occurred in Operation True Promise against the war-mongering aggressors.”
The statement ended by calling on all Iranians, especially the youth, to participate in the “grand, passionate, and epic ceremony of the Arbaeen of the martyrs of Iran’s Islamic power and the flag bearers of national dignity,” to be held on Thursday at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran.
“This magnificent presence can record another scene of Iranian power and resistance in the history of the homeland and, by demonstrating the unity and national cohesion of Iranians in support of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and renewing the covenant with the great leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Khamenei, manifest their determination, will, and steadfastness in continuing the glorious path of the martyrs — especially the commanders and scientists martyred in the recent Sacred Defense — before the enemies of this land.”
