Nakhala Pays Tribute to Quds Force General Martyred by Israel
TEHRAN -- Ziyad al-Nakhalah, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, has paid a moving tribute to Brigadier General Muhammad Saeed Izadi—widely known as Haj Ramezan—the former head of the Palestine Unit of the IRGC Quds Force, who was martyred during the Israeli regime’s recent aggression against the Islamic Republic.
In a heartfelt note published in Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar daily, Nakhalah described Haj Ramezan as “a tireless and devoted commander,” whose life was defined by his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and resistance against the Zionist occupation.
“I first met Haj Ramezan in the late 1980s,” Nakhalah wrote. “From our first encounter, it was clear that his heart and mission were dedicated to the liberation of Palestine and Al-Quds from U.S.-backed Israeli occupation.” He recalled Haj Ramezan saying, “We are here to fight for Al-Quds.”
The resistance leader noted that during his years with the Quds Force, Izadi became a symbol of Iran’s steadfast commitment to Palestine. He forged deep ties with all Palestinian resistance factions, offering constant support and ensuring the flow of essential aid.
“He never tired,” Nakhalah wrote. “Whenever we asked for help, his answer was always the same: ‘No problem.’”
Drawing a spiritual parallel,
Nakhalah likened Haj Ramezan to Salman Farsi, the revered Persian companion of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), quoting the Prophet’s words: “Salman is one of us, the People of the Prophet’s Household.”
He concluded by bidding farewell to Izadi as “a martyr on the path to Al-Quds.”
Haj Ramezan was among several senior Iranian commanders, scientists, and civilians martyred in the Israeli regime’s unprovoked war on Iran.
The Islamic Republic responded with a powerful retaliatory operation, launching hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones at Israeli military, nuclear, and industrial sites. The offensive compelled the Zionist regime to request a ceasefire just 12 days after initiating hostilities.
