FM Araghchi: Israeli War Ended in Failure, Missile Demands ‘Absurd’

TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to achieve any of his objectives during the recent military aggression against Iran and is now attempting to dictate U.S. policy toward Tehran.
In a social media post, Araghchi dismissed Netanyahu’s call for Iran to limit the range of its missiles to 480 kilometers, calling the demand “absurd” and saying it came from someone he described as “a war criminal.”
Araghchi said Netanyahu’s ambitions to derail more than four decades of Iran’s peaceful nuclear progress were unrealistic.
“It is absurd to expect Iran to accept advice from a war criminal,” he wrote.
The foreign minister also commented on Israel’s unsuccessful military aggression against Iran, which began on June 13 with a premeditated and unprovoked act of aggression. The attack killed several senior Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
“But his arrogance doesn’t end there,” Araghchi wrote. “Having miserably failed to achieve any of his war objectives in Iran and compelled to turn to ‘Daddy’ when our powerful missiles targeted secret Israeli sites—which Netanyahu is still censoring—he is now openly dictating what the US should or shouldn’t say or do in talks with Iran.”
Araghchi emphasized Iran’s scientific resilience, noting that “every one of the dozen Iranian scientists killed by mercenaries trained over 100 capable successors,” who, he said, would prove their abilities to Netanyahu and the world.
