Israeli Journalist Exposes Censorship of Iranian Blows

TEHRAN -- A prominent Israeli journalist and political analyst has revealed extensive censorship imposed by the Israeli regime during its recent 12-day military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Raviv Drucker, a well-known commentator from Israel’s Channel 13, disclosed that Israeli police threatened him and prevented filming at sites struck by Iranian drones and missiles.
Speaking on a television program, Drucker explained that the Israeli Military Censor—an intelligence unit tasked with preemptive censorship within the occupied territories—has become a tool for the Tel Aviv regime to distort and suppress facts about the conflict.
He recounted an incident where police officers stopped him from documenting damage inflicted by Iranian strikes. Despite showing his press credentials, he was told, “Filming is forbidden here; the Military Censor does not approve.”
Drucker criticized the censorship as a means to maintain a false narrative of victory rather than for genuine security reasons.
The goal is not to keep information from Iranians—they already know where their strikes hit—but to prevent Israeli citizens from learning the true extent of the damage,” he said.
Highlighting the ethical dilemma faced by journalists, Drucker said, “Censorship here protects narratives, not lives. We risk becoming silent partners in spreading falsehoods, fearing accusations of being unpatriotic. Yet, the truth is widely accessible online.”
He noted that the Military Censor no longer shields soldiers but rather politicians’ reputations, concealing damage already visible through satellite imagery and social media.
“It has transformed from a security body into a propaganda tool, essentially following orders from the prime minister’s office,” Drucker added.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military official has admitted for the first time that Iranian missile strikes targeted several Israeli military bases during the June conflict. The regime’s unprecedented offensive against Iran began in the early hours of June 13, striking military and civilian sites and causing hundreds of casualties, including senior commanders and civilians.
In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps launched Operation True Promise III, a powerful counterattack targeting key military, intelligence, and industrial facilities across Israeli-occupied territories. The Israeli regime ultimately announced a unilateral ceasefire on June 24, a move publicly communicated by then-U.S. President Donald Trump.
