Vahid Hashemian Named Persepolis Coach
TEHRAN – Former VfL
Bochum forward Vahid Hashemian was named as Iran’s Persepolis football club.
Hashemian, who has played in Bundesliga sides VfL Bochum, Bayern Munich, Hannover 96, and Hamburger SV, replaced İsmail Kartal in Persepolis.
Hashemian, 48, most recently worked as the Iran national football team assistant coach.
Other potential candidates to replace Kartal included former China national team coach Branko Ivankovic, Brazilian coach Osmar Loss Vieira, and Foolad’s Yahya Golmohammadi.
