Festival Establishes Sahar Emami Special Award
TEHRAN -- The Sahar Emami Special Award has been added to the Sobh International Media Festival.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Sobh Media Festival, an award titled “Sahar Emami” has been added to the main sections of the festival.
This award was registered and established in her name in honor of the courage and perseverance of Emami, a news anchor of the Islamic Republic of Iran Radio and Television, during the Zionist regime’s aggression against the glass building of the IRIB.
On June 16, at the same time as the Zionist regime’s inhuman attack on one of the national media buildings, Emami continued her live performance despite the critical conditions and, in a decisive tone, conveyed the message of resistance and perseverance of the Iranian nation to the ears of the world.
The Sahar Emami Special Award will henceforth be awarded to journalists, presenters, filmmakers, documentarians, and human media professionals who, without fear of threats and pressure, speak the truth and become a clear voice of resistance and awareness against the world’s criminals.
