‘Western Apologists Trying to Justify Israeli Aggression Against Iran’

TEHRAN – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei says Israel’s backers and apologists are trying to justify Israeli strikes against Iran.
“This is an egregious act of aggression. Period,” Baghaei wrote on his X account in reaction to the inaction of certain countries in the world in the wake of Israeli strikes against the Islamic Republic.
“Appalling to see Israel’s backers and apologists trying to spin this blatant aggression as justified,” he said. “They’re reducing themselves to willing accomplices in the grave crimes Israel commits daily.”
Separately, Baghaei reacted to remarks by German officials about Iran, saying “Those perpetually on the wrong side of history best stay silent now.”
“History reminder: Germany ignited two world wars,” he wrote on his X account. “Iran sheltered Jews fleeing Hitler – ask Polish/French refugees who got Iranian passports,” he added.
The spokesman also touched on French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks, saying he is seeking to spin Iran’s nuclear program.
Writing on his X account, Baghaei said “it is shameful that Israel targets peaceful nuclear facilities, bombs homes, and kills Iranians in cold blood in blatant violation of international law, yet Macron chooses now to spin Iran’s nuclear program”.
“The hypocrisy is staggering.”
Regarding Israeli strikes on Friday, Baghaei listed the names of a number of athletes murdered by Israeli bombs in their homes.
“Remember their names: Amir-Ali Amini (17, taekwondo), Parsa Mansour (paddle sports). Niloufar Qalehvand (Pilates instructor), Mehdi Poladvand (horse rider),” he wrote.
Every apologist enabling this war crimes is a complicit, he said, noting, “This regime will be held accountable.”
In a related message on X, Baghaei posted footage of a grieving teacher holding photos of her young students killed in Israeli airstrikes.
“This is not a preemptive strike. It is a war crime committed through blatant aggression.”
Baghaei denounced the Israeli targeting of residential areas a serious and unambiguous violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
“The Israeli regime has perpetrated an egregious act of aggression against Iran,” he wrote on X. “Through coordinated missile and drone strikes, it targeted residential neighborhoods, civilian infrastructure, and nuclear facilities subject to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards.”
“These actions constitute a serious and unambiguous violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations,” Baghaei said.
“In one particularly atrocious instance, an Israeli strike on a residential building resulted in the killing of 60 innocent people, including 29 children,” he added.
