Remember Tabas O’ Fickle-Minded Enemies of Iran

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

Though the indirect talks between Iran and the US seem to be on the right track regarding Iran’s undeniable right to enrich uranium to whatever degree or percentage is required for its civilian nuclear project, the distractors should know that threats, theatrics, and terrorism never succeeds.
Some segments of the western media, especially the Zionist controlled ones, talk nonsense, when they harp on some sort of a military attack to force the Islamic Republic to sign a so-called deal that is detrimental to Iranian national interests, and to the benefit of its dangerously nuclear-armed enemies, such as the US and Israel.
They seem to have a fickle memory of the miserable failure of a full-fledged and elaborately planned surprise US military attack on Iran on April 24 to try to overthrow the Islamic Republic and rescue the American spies detained in Tehran.
Operation Eagle Claw, which was a blatant act of terrorism against the sovereignty of Iran planned by the recently dead Jimmy Carter in 1979 during his presidency, how weak Washington is despite its claim to be a superpower and how easily it could be defeated when Divine Assistance is on the side of the defenders.
After several months of training in condition similar to Tabas in the Iranian desert US planes and helicopters invaded in the dead of night and before they could proceed to Tehran, a miracle in the sands messed up their nefarious plans.
The invading force encountered a “haboob”, a severe wind-driven sandstorm that swirled, whirled and twirled around the American aircraft and commandos, resulting in severe visibility problems, damage to the machines, and illness among the marines.
Suddenly, one of the helicopter’s rotor blades collided with an EC-130 fuel-loaded plane, and both aircraft exploded on impact, killing several soldiers.
The mission commanders panicked. They abandoned the helicopters and boarded the transport aircraft to flee from the soil of Iran.
The next day, April 25, a grateful Iranian nation on learning of the Tabas miracle and hearing sheepish admission by the US of the failure of its invasive force, thanked God Almighty for His Favours.
These are the undeniable facts that we in Iran clearly remember, and so do our enemies, who very well know what awaits them if they make a wrong move against Iran and its right to be a peaceful nuclear state enriching uranium on its own soil without the least obstruction, while severe retribution awaits any would be attacker.
