Iran, Turkey FMs Discuss Muscat Talks, Other Regional Issues

TEHRAN - The foreign ministers of Iran and Turkey have discussed bilateral relations and the region’s latest developments during a phone conversation.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on Tuesday.
The two sides also looked at the circumstances surrounding the indirect talks between Iran and the United States in Muscat.
The Iranian foreign minister praised Turkey’s constructive stance on the Muscat talks.
Fidan told Araghchi that Ankara welcomed the Muscat talks and was ready to offer comprehensive support.
The two sides also discussed consular affairs and issues concerning Iranian citizens in Turkey.
On April 12, Iranian and American delegations held the first round of indirect negotiations in the Omani capital.
Following the completion of the first round, Iran’s foreign minister said the next round is expected to take place on April 19, at the same level.
Earlier on Monday, Araghchi briefed his Saudi counterpart on the process of indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S.
In a telephone conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud talked about regional and international developments as well as bilateral ties.
