Iran Lift 2025 Asian Mini Football Championship Title

TEHRAN - Iran clinched the Asian Mini Football Championship title on Monday, edging past Indonesia 3-2 in a thrilling final in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The match saw momentum swing back and forth before Iran prevailed to claim the gold medal.
The host nation secured the bronze medal, defeating Oman 4-1 in the third-place playoff.
This historic win marks Iran’s first-ever continental title in mini football, a significant milestone for the team on the Asian stage.
The Asian Mini Football Championship is a premier 6-a-side outdoor tournament organized by the Asian Minifootball Confederation (AMC).
The inaugural edition took place in Bangkok, Thailand, in December 2023.
In the group stage of this year’s tournament, Iran was placed in Group B alongside Oman, Iraq, and Japan, while hosts UAE, India, Pakistan, and Indonesia competed in Group A.
With this championship victory, Iran has secured a spot in the 2026 Mini Football World Cup, an elite global soccer competition organized by the World Minifootball Federation (WMF).
The 2026 tournament, which will run from June 11 to July 19, will be co-hosted by 16 cities in three North American nations.
