The Humiliating Fate of US Client States

The Father of the Islamic Revolution had likened any Iran-US meeting as that of a sheep and wolf, and had recalled in his Last Will and Testament the sorry state of affairs of a client state ruled by a rootless regime:
“Our youth nurtured in the bosom of wolves dependent on the superpowers would upon graduation occupy legislative, public and judiciary offices to act only according to the dictates of the tyrannical Pahlavi regime.”
Iran and the Iranian people will forever remain indebted to Imam Khomeini (RA) for rescuing them from American hegemony and making the Islamic Republic a power to reckon with on the international level.
In other words, the era of kowtowing to Washington is long past. Iran’s young generation review with disdain the humiliation of Mohammad Reza Shah standing like a menial servant to a cigar-puffing British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, an insolent US President Franklin Roosevelt seated cross-legged, and a haughty Soviet leader Josef Stalin, during the 1943 World War 2 conference in Tehran.
Since 1979, Iran’s spectacular success in almost all fields has indeed unnerved the US. That is the main reason for the unending chain of sanctions, which thanks to the iron-resolve of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, have failed to bring the Islamic Republic to its knees – as is the fate of many of the unequal so-called American allies.
Just the other day, the overtly arrogant US president, Donald Trump, publicly humiliated his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting in the White House.
Against all diplomatic norms, Trump berated Zelensky as not being grateful to the US, and “gambling with World War III.”
Even an ordinary US reporter, a certain Brian Glenn ridiculed the military-attired Ukrainian president by asking: “Why don’t you wear a suit? Do you own a suit?”
The remark drew laughter from the audience, including US Vice President JD Vance, who barely concealed his amusement at the humiliation of Zelensky, fuelling debates about diplomatic decorum.
As analysts the world over called it “return to the era of US imperialism”, the official website of Ayatollah Khamenei reposted his wise March 1, 2022 warning about Ukraine’s unwise reliance on the US:
“The first lesson from the situation in Ukraine is that Western support for countries and governments that are their puppets is a mirage. All governments must understand this. Those governments relying on the US and Europe should look at the current situation in Ukraine.”
