Gen. Hajizadeh: True Promise 3 Will Definitely be Carried Out
TEHRAN – Head of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said Tuesday the third retaliatory operation against Israel will definitely be carried out by Iran at a time of its choosing.
“This operation will be carried out by God’s permission, but we will not waste this opportunity we have, and just as Operation True Promise 1 and 2 were carried out, Operation True Promise 3 will definitely be carried out,” he said.
In response to a series of high-profile assassinations, Iran launched Operation True Promise II on October 1, targeting key Israeli military and intelligence installations with its missiles. Operation True Promise 1 was Iran’s first ever direct military strike against Israel, conducted on April 13, 2024.
The operations, Gen. Hajizadeh said, were a response to the miscalculation of the Zionist regime, which attacked Iran’s consulate in Damascus, thinking the Islamic Republic would not respond directly because it would opt to avoid war.
“We have red lines that they were unable to appreciate... According to the statements of the Zionist regime’s officials, Westerners, and think tanks, the largest ballistic missile operation in the world was carried out by the Islamic Republic.
“We had this power for a long time, but we had kept it to defend the people and the establishment and use it wherever necessary. Operation True Promise was one of the largest in history, aiming to put the greatest defense against the Zionist regime,” he added.
Hajizadeh said apart from the Zionist regime’s missile defense systems which known in the world, all the radar networks of the countries in the region from the Persian Gulf to Jordan were placed under the management of CENTCOM so that “if we fired a ballistic missile from Shiraz, its radar information would be transmitted to the Zionist regime and Jordan.”
“Despite all the efforts of the U.S. and the Zionist regime, more than 75 percent of our missiles fired during Operation True Promise 2 hit their targets, the impacts of which were broadcast to the world.
“In this operation, the Zionist regime suffered a major defeat despite all its facilities and defenses, and their defense system collapsed,” he added.
Images released from Operation True Promise 2 showed that the Zionist regime’s anti-ballistic missiles mistakenly hit each other, and eventually, some of them passed through their defense shields and hit Tel Aviv, Hajizadeh said.
