TEHRAN -- The production of the TV series ‘Solace’, directed by Muhammad-Reza Ahanj, has come to an end.
The 30-episode drama, previously titled ‘Pardisan’, is produced by Parviz Amiri and Sajjad Qafeleh-Bashi under the Simafilm center.
Set to air during the holy month of Ramadan, ‘Solace’ is a social drama that follows the lives of young families of religious students residing near the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini (RA).
Written by Mohsen Jasour and Ayatollah Hussein Soleimani, the series delves into their daily struggles, personal challenges, and spiritual journeys.
The cast features prominent Iranian actors, including Mona Karami, Roya Javidnia, Vida Javan, Safa Aqajani, Bahram Ebrahimi, Kourosh Soleimani, Nader Soleimani, and Farid Sajjadi-Husseini.
With filming now complete, ‘Solace’ is in post-production and is expected to be one of the notable TV dramas for the upcoming Ramadan month.
Iranian director Javad Afshar has confirmed that the filming of his police-crime drama ‘Naria’ is ongoing, with the crew preparing to travel to Turkey to complete production after the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival.
Afshar emphasized that ‘Naria’ has remained unfinished and filming at international locations is crucial to the story.
The series follows Hojan, a brilliant Iranian scientist, whose groundbreaking discovery could elevate Iran’s global standing. However, a network of local and foreign criminals aims to destroy her work—while one of them, struggling with his past sins, falls in love with her.
The series stars Saman Saffari, Amiryal Arjmand, Kazem Balouchi, Afsaneh Chehreh-Azad, Nasim Adabi, Vida Javan, and Rambod Shekarabi.
Afshar also hinted at another project about Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) but mentioned that negotiations with IRIB are still at an early stage.
Among the latest Iranian historical dramas, ‘Two Halves of the Moon’ stands out as a narrative of loss and resilience.
Written and directed by Davoud Bidel and produced by Hussein Fallah and Amir-Abbas Majzoubi, the series follows a brother and sister whose parents are tragically killed by the MKO terrorist group during Iran’s revolutionary period.
With its gripping story and historical depth, ‘Two Halves of the Moon’ is set to be a significant addition to Iran’s Revolution-themed productions.
One of the latest social dramas in production under Simafilm is ‘Letters to Simin’, a 26-episode series that revolves around a collection of letters originally sent to the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation.
Now, years later, these letters have mysteriously found their way to Simin, revealing deeply personal and untold stories.
Written by Azita Rasafi, produced by Hashem Mirzakhani, and directed by Ali Ghaffari, ‘Letters to Simin’ aims to shed light on the real-life struggles and hopes of those who once sought help.
