Top General Dismisses Claims Iran Weakened
TEHRAN -- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh has dismissed the notion propagated by the enemies that Iran has been weakened.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the enemies seek to portray realities in reverse.
Hajizadeh criticized those inside and outside Iran who have been deceived into thinking that Iran has been weakened.
He also praised the Palestinian nation and its supporters for a united display of resistance, saying, “It proved that perseverance, fortitude and resistance in the true sense of the word will result in victory.”
The world has acknowledged that Palestine has emerged victorious and the Zionists have reached none of their objectives, the commander added.
Iranian Army Chief Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi on Wednesday lauded the steadfastness of the resistance front in the face of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
“The Palestinian resistance and the resistance front stood by their ideals until they achieved what they had set out to achieve,” he said.
He said Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has failed to achieve any of his declared goals in Gaza, while Hamas members are returning home with victory and pride, referring to the release of Palestinians in exchange for Israeli captives.
“This shows that resistance and reliance on God will ultimately prevail against any power,” he added.
Mousavi said certain “short-sided people might consider a technical or tactical victory to be a strategic victory but the resistance proved that the path to a strategic victory and pride and ultimate triumph is resistance, and this was the greatest message of the resistance.”
The Israeli regime accepted a ceasefire on January 25 after having failed to realize any of its wartime objectives, including “eliminating” Hamas.
Hamas has called the ceasefire deal the result of steadfastness and resistance in the enclave for over 15 months.
