TEHRAN – Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu said on Sunday that the embassy is ready to follow up and conclude a sisterhood agreement with Ahvaz, the capital city of Iran’s Khuzestan province.
Speaking in a meeting with the mayor of Ahvaz, Peiwu stated that Karun River in Ahvaz has a very beautiful view and inspires vitality.
“It is rare in the Middle East to see a city constructed next to a river. This is an advantage from the tourism and economic perspective for the city,” the Chinese envoy said.
