Start of Another Gloomy Gregorian Year

The West is celebrating January 1 as the New Year of the Gregorian calendar with the usual unbridled revelries by the public, while officials of the regimes, especially in London and Washington, after a night of debaucheries marked the start of 2025 with showers of missiles on Yemen, intensification of the NATO war in Ukraine.
In Occupied Palestine, the Zionists who do not celebrate the Christian New Year and have their own calendar, continue to take orders and weapons from the White House to worsen the plight of the people of Gaza – many of them starving to death in winter’s cold with only makeshift camps to shelter them.
It means last midnights’ messages of the monarchs, presidents, prime ministers, and chancellors, are as meaningless as in the past with nothing new in their contents.
In fact, their statements, including a few crocodile tears shed by some of them on the unabated holocaust in Gaza, were a shameless display of hypocrisy regarding problems plaguing the world due to their own misconstrued policies, and once again exposed these self-styled politicians as either naïve or knaves.
In view of these facts, world people, especially the oppressed ones, face the worsening of the crises carried over from the Year 2024.
The year that went by exposed the hypocrisy of the West and its unchristian policies in supporting the massacre in Gaza, the carnage in Lebanon, the vilification of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the unprovoked US-USK attacks on Yemen, and the terrorist takeover of Syria.
Thus, what makes prospects of progress dim in the New Year are not just political problems, but other vital issues like the inability or unwillingness to eradicate poverty, famine, and diseases worsening the social/cultural norms.
Then there is the unhindered release of greenhouse gases (by industrialized countries) that are tearing apart the Planet’s protective Ozone layer, thereby letting in the Sun’s ultraviolet rays which are not just hazardous for human health and plant life, but are melting the polar icecaps to make sea levels rise and submerge low lying coastal areas.
Does such an intransigent attitude bode well for resolution of problems, peace, harmony, and co-existence in the New Calendar Year?
Certainly not, and it means 2025 will be as gloomy as 2024 – perhaps worse – because of the lack of sincerity, coupled with the absence of spiritual values in the West, especially in the US, whose state terrorism all over the world is the main cause of mankind’s misery.
At any rate, the new Gregorian calendar year will not have any effect on the resilience of Iran and its resolve to break newer grounds in all fields – nuclear energy, aerospace & satellites, ballistic missiles, stem cells, pharmaceuticals, cyber industries, artificial intelligence, and the promotion of Islamic sciences and culture, along with peace and stability in the region and beyond.
